For Golfers

"Golf has grown faster than motion pictures, financial services, hotels, and communitcations...all fast growing industries." - National Golf Foundation

Golf is one of the great sports which virtually anyone can take on.  As you can see or hear within the world around you, golf is everywhere.  However, the average golfer does not prepare or condition his or her body for the game.  They just play.  They do not perform the proper warm-up or stretching needed to play injury free.

Many players do not think of the impact a non-conditioned body can have on their health let alone their game.

Paul Chek, author of Biomechanics of Golf, writes, "An amatuer golfer achieves approximately 90 percent of their peak muscular activity when driving a golf ball.  This intensity is similar to picking up a weight that can only be lifted four times before total fatigue."  That's one swing!  The average golfer uses more than 100 swings per 18 holes.

To help you visualize the unknown intensity and potential for damage with golf, let's look at the speed that can be generated.

The average golfer is able to swing the golf club about 90 miles per hour!

The average tour pro can swing the club at around 115 miles per hour!

Almost 70 percent of all golf injuries in Amateurs are either low back or elbow injuries.

So, with this repetative intensity, without proper prior conditioning, is it no wonder 50 percent or more of golfers are injured playing this great game?

Additionally, many golfers have pre-existing postural dysfunction and poor flexibility.  What more of a reason to get the help you need to improve your chances of playing a solid game injury free, as well as your enjoyment of the game of golf.
